Actor Dhananjaya fondly recalls his time in Mangaluru, where he worked as a techie at a prominent IT firm in Kottara for six months. This job allowed him to immerse himself in the vibrant art and culture of the coastal region. Therefore, when he received an invitation to the Dasara festivities in Kudla, he eagerly accepted. Reflecting on the Navratri celebrations people often mentioned, he felt a sense of nostalgia returning to experience the place in a new perspective.
During his leisure time in Mangaluru, Dhananjaya attended various Tulu dramas and Yakshagana performances. Despite knowing only a bit of Tulu, he found great delight in the dramas, emphasizing that art transcends language and that the connection is what truly matters. He considers this experience to be enriching. Dhananjaya also lauds the coastal region for preserving its traditional art forms, believing that a place's essence lies in its language, art, and culture. Witnessing the tiger dance during his visit and even having the chance to perform on stage left a deep impression on him. Despite not being a dancer, he gained insights into the art form when he portrayed Huli Vesha in his movie "Kotee." Emphasizing the importance of preserving art and culture, he stresses their role in sustaining us and advocates for their conservation by all means.
